Body fat percentage

Body fat percentage is the share of a body's weight that is fat, measured by scans, calipers or impedance scales with very different accuracy, and estimated by many apps with almost none. IZeat records no body measurement in V0 and shows no body figure; what it offers is the intake record that a body fat trend, measured elsewhere, can be read against.

A DEXA scan measures it well, calipers depend on the hand holding them, and a bathroom impedance scale changes its answer with a glass of water. Because none of these is a figure IZeat can source or check, the product records none of them. A customer tracking body fat keeps it with their assistant or a dedicated tool; IZeat keeps the meals.

The percentage is where an app's confidence is most misplaced: two decimals on a figure that a morning coffee moves. IZeat's stance is the same as for a plate photo, no number without a source, and here there is no source a phone can hold. What the record gives instead is time: months of honest intake, with the days that were not logged shown as gaps, next to whatever the customer measured.
