Bulking
Bulking is the phase of a training cycle spent in a calorie surplus to gain muscle, accepting some fat gain along the way, the counterpart of cutting. IZeat records a bulk like any other phase: the day's calories and protein against a surplus target, with the difference stated as a number and never as a judgement.
The target is above maintenance and chosen by the customer; the protein target usually stays high. IZeat's job is to show whether the surplus is actually being eaten, meal by meal, which is harder than it sounds on a long day. The period summary's average per recorded day is the honest check that a planned surplus is real and not just intended.
Bulking is where people under-log the most, because a day over the target feels like success rather than error, and the record is the first thing dropped. A record that is effortless to keep is worth more here than any calculator: a customer who says every meal sees whether the extra 300 kcal happened, and on which days. The reply never calls a day over the target a success; it states the figure, and the pattern over the month is the customer's to read.
Put it into practice: Reading a period.
