Scale weight

Scale weight is the number a bathroom scale shows on a given morning, the sum of fat, muscle, bone, water and whatever is in the gut, and the noisiest of all body measures. IZeat records no scale weight in V0 and never shows a goal-weight countdown, by rule; the record is the food, and the scale stays the customer's.

A morning's weight moves by a kilogram or more with salt, carbohydrate, training, a late dinner and the time of the month, none of which is fat. That noise is why a single reading is not a fact about progress and why IZeat, which records only what it can stand behind, keeps weight off its screens for now. A customer who weighs daily can ask their assistant for a trend; IZeat gives the intake.

A tracker that puts this morning's weight next to yesterday's dinner teaches the wrong lesson twice: that one meal moved the scale, and that the scale is the judge. IZeat's safety rule exists for the people that lesson harms most. The record stays about food and its completeness, and the weight stays where the customer keeps it, read next to the food record rather than inside it.
