Meal prep
Meal prep is cooking and portioning several meals in advance, so that the same weighed meal is eaten on several days without being made or measured again. IZeat records a prepped meal once with its weighed items, and "same lunch as Monday" is a sentence the assistant turns into a new recording with the same rows and their sources.
A prepped meal is the best-sourced meal a customer will record: weighed once, from labels and reference values, and repeated. The assistant records it again from the earlier rows, and the receipt shows the same items with the same figures, so nothing drifts between Monday and Thursday. Correcting one day's portion corrects that day only.
Repetition is where trackers with an input screen punish the diligent: the same six items typed four times a week. It is also where the conversation shines, because "the usual" is a sentence. The community said it plainly: copying yesterday should be as fast as the button it replaces, and the reply makes it so by showing the copied rows rather than a confirmation. A prepped week is also the easiest week to read afterwards, because five identical lunches leave the differences in the other meals.
Put it into practice: Logging a meal.
