Calorie target

A calorie target is the daily number of calories a person chooses to aim for, above, below or at their maintenance. IZeat records a calorie target from the day the customer chose, compares every day's total to it, and never sets, raises or lowers one on its own.

A target is set by conversation with the assistant, through one tool, never through a settings page. It applies from a date; a new target starts a new period and the old one keeps the days that were its. IZeat records the target an adult sets and neither blocks nor comments on it; whether it is sensible is a conversation for the customer and their assistant, or a clinician. Over and under the target are both shown as signed numbers, in the same colour.

A target is a promise a person makes to themselves, and it deserves to be kept as they wrote it. IZeat never rounds it, never nudges it, never colours a day red for crossing it. When a target changes, the change is dated, so a customer reading last month's days sees them against last month's target, not against today's.
