ChatGPT

ChatGPT is OpenAI's conversational assistant, and in relation to IZeat it is one of the assistants a customer can connect so that a sentence about a meal becomes a record. IZeat connects to the ChatGPT desktop app as an MCP server, added from its settings and authenticated with the customer's IZeat account; from then on ChatGPT records meals, corrects them and reads the day through IZeat's tools.

The steps documented today are for the ChatGPT desktop app on a computer: Settings, Plugins, Add, MCP server, then Authenticate, which opens IZeat's authorization screen where the customer signs in and approves. ChatGPT web uses plugins for connected tools and these steps do not install one; in our test of the mobile app there was no option to add a custom MCP server. What the assistant sees is the conversation; what IZeat holds is the record.

The choice of assistant is the customer's, and IZeat treats them alike: the same tools, the same receipts, the same rule that every number says where it came from. What differs is the client's own behaviour, how it shows a tool call, how it asks for approval, and the documentation says what was observed for each rather than what was hoped.
