Weigh-in

A weigh-in is stepping on a scale at a fixed time under the same conditions, usually in the morning, so that readings can be compared across days and weeks. IZeat does not record weigh-ins in V0 and has no goal-weight countdown by rule; the record is the food, and the scale stays the customer's.

Weight is left out for two reasons. The first is scope: IZeat is a nutrition record, not a body dashboard. The second is the safety rule: a product that counts down to a goal weight teaches the wrong thing, and the people most harmed by that are the ones a calorie counter attracts. A customer can tell their assistant their weight in conversation; IZeat records the meals.

Trackers that combine food and weight on one screen invite the comparison that hurts: a good food week and a bad scale morning, side by side, read as failure. IZeat keeps them apart so the record can be judged on the one thing it controls, its completeness. What IZeat does hold, the food record, is written the same way: what was, never a countdown, and never in red for a day that went the other way.
