Calories left

Calories left are the difference between a day's target and what has been recorded so far, the figure people compose their next meal against. IZeat states what is left after every recording and on every day read, in calories and in grams of each macro that has a target, and the assistant composes dinner from that remainder when asked.

The remainder is target minus total, per nutrient, signed. It is a fact, not a verdict: a negative remainder is shown as a number in the same colour as a positive one, because red is reserved for a data problem. The remainder is always in view in the day card, because people cook against it; a tracker that hid it behind a tap lost its oldest customers over that one change.

What is left is the number people actually use: not what they ate, but what they can still eat. It is why MyFitnessPal's April 2026 redesign, which hid the per-meal figures and the remainder behind taps, took its rating from 3.2 to 1.5 in weeks. IZeat keeps the remainder in the reply, in the day card and on the web, and lets the assistant compose the next meal from it.

Put it into practice: Reading a day.
